SCS is a common telecommunications infrastructure of the building core, which performs the function of transmitting all signals - auditory, video, information or voice. The installation of SCS can be carried out both until the moment when the requirements for transmission speed are agreed, and until the final selection of all network protocols. SCS can be built on a part of a building, or it can combine several buildings. At the same time, it is necessary to comply with the standards for the use of SCS: from 50 to 50,000 customers located on an area of up to 1,000,000 m2.
Quality installation of SCS is regulated in accordance with 1) European standard for SCS installation - EN 50173; 2) international standard for mounting SCS - SO 11801; 3) American SCS mounting standard - NSI/EIA/TIA 568-B. SCS has a hierarchical subordination and consists of interconnected subsystems that provide a long service life of the SCS, the real quality of the SCS in data transmission and the reliability of the SCS.
